These three scholarships were established on January 27, 1994, by Thomas and Rebecca Stiles as memorials for Rebecca's uncle, aunt, and cousin, Raphael Ernest Dieckmann, Alma M. Dieckmann, and Emlyn June Dieckmann. The amount of these scholarships is determined by the amount of a distribution, if any, from the Marshall County Community Foundation.

These scholarships are to be awarded annually to 3 graduating seniors from Jac-Cen-Del High School with one scholarship awarded to a graduate who wishes to pursue a degree in the field of journalism, and the other two to any qualifying graduate pursuing a college degree.
